Women-Owned Local Lingerie Brands: Philadelphia
Kate Sisk
Owner of Hidden Intimates
When we decided to launch Hidden Intimates earlier this year - it was because we realized we were not alone in wanting something different from the lingerie industry. Something so unique to a woman's body like intimates should be made by women, and represented by women like us. We wanted something real.
What we came to also find, was that we were not alone in Philadelphia either. We've teamed up with the local ladies in our city - and saying thank for leading the change.
MADALYNNE INTIMATES
circa 2015
When Maddie’s mother passed away of breast cancer, she found her therapy and passion in sewing.
She has a love affair with lace and lingerie - and teaching women how to make a perfectly fitted bra in her Philadelphia studio.
OKKO
circa 2018
Friends and founders Leigha and Phoebe realized there was a problem with the underwear out there and interviewed over 100 women to ask them what they wanted - and then delivered with Okko.
KAKI INTIMATES
circa 2018
With not a single thing to her name except her experience (albeit very impressive experience, like launching the lingerie category at Anthropologie), Amber Watts went to the bank and got a line of credit to fund her first collection for Kaki Intimates - offering beautiful bridal lingerie and sleep sets.
